Are you at a crossroad in your relationship?

Every moment is a choice…

Couples Coaching

Are you feeling “stuck” in your relationship right now?
There are really ONLY TWO options:

  • Step forward.
  • Step Back.

(But what about staying right where we are??? This is actually a step BACK.)

We are either CONTRIBUTING to or TAKING AWAY from our relationship.

Here is the *KEY*:

We show our love and build our relationships…

  • Moment by moment
  • Choice by Choice
  • Step by step

The little things change our STRUGGLES and SUFFERING into OPPORTUNITIES for CONNECTION and GROWTH.

Every moment is a choice.

How do we move out of feeling

Stuck • Broken • Bored • Bruised • Numb • Shattered • Indifferent• Exhausted

You can learn the SKILLS and develop the HABITS.

It takes baby steps of:

  • Intentionality
  • Consistency
  • Time
  • Energy
  • Thoughtful decisions
  • Deliberate action
  • Heartfelt sharing
  • Soulful listening
  • Seeking to know our partner’s heart
  • Learning about own hearts, too!

Does that sound heavy?
Do you think it might be too hard?
It’s actually LIGHTER and EASIER than the struggle you are living now.

It takes LESS TIME, LESS WORK and LESS ENERGY than your current struggles are STEALING from you now.

It is possible. You are capable. It is completely doable. And it makes all the difference.

By learning these skills and developing these habits, we learn to work from the SAME TEAM with the SAME GOALS of:

  • Connection
  • Intimacy
  • Unity
  • Resilience
  • Tenderness
  • To know and be known
  • To hear and be heard
  • To see and be seen
  • To love and be loved!

How can we THRIVE together with EASE and SIMPLICITY and truly live the love we desire?

I can help you get there.

Loving as God Loves

“Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God.” – I John 4:7 NAB

  • Our faith in God is not just a part of us.
  • We seek to live in the truth that we are made BY LOVE and FOR LOVE.
  • We look through the lens of FAITH to see all that fills our lives – our relationships, our work, our struggles, our joys, everything!

So what does this mean for me and my relationship?

The world tells us:

  • It’s all about me.
  • It’s about my happiness
  • It’s about my journey.
  • It’s about my needs.
  • It’s about my desires.

Our faith tells us that it’s about:

  • Being a gift to others.
  • Blessing others.
  • Serving others.
  • Sacrificing for others.

When we serve and bless each other as a couple, we grow in virtue.

We become a better version of ourselves.

We become who God made us to be!

But HOW do we do it???

About Juanita

Let all you do be done in love.
– 1 Corinthians 16:14

My name is Juanita Pfaff. I am the Founder of Crossroads Couples Coaching and a certified relationship coach through the Center for Thriving Relationships.

I am a wife of 17 years, mom of 8 children, co-owner of our family’s small business, teacher of our homeschool, and homemaker. I wear many hats, but all of them fall under the umbrella of relationships.

I have bachelor’s degrees in Catholic Studies and in Spanish from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. I also have a master’s degree in Spanish from the University of New Mexico.

Throughout my education and professional background, learning how to build and grow relationships has been my passion, as my family, faith, culture and language are built on, around, and through relationships.

Being a wife of 17 years, we have our own history with our share of trials and suffering as well. My husband struggled with addiction during our marriage, but he has been sober for over 5 years now and I am so proud of him and grateful for the lessons this journey has taught us!

But with this celebration comes the realization that we lost time together during the time that the addiction tore us apart. We lost opportunities to grow and mature in our love.

But it wasn’t too late for us!

And it’s not too late for you.

I specialize in helping couples recovering from addictions to heal the disconnect and brokenness and create a thriving relationship.

If you desire to:

  • Communicate openly,
  • Share intimately,
  • Connect authentically,
  • Interact tenderly,
  • Relate to each other joyfully,
  • Find relief from the pain and suffering,
  • And feel close and connected,

I am here to help you.
